Clarityn relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (such as hay fever), such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose and burning or itching of the eyes. The symptoms can be caused by e.g. pollen, fur animals and mites.

Clarityn belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. Antihistamines help reduce allergy symptoms by blocking the effects of a substance called histamine, which is produced in the body.

The relief of these symptoms lasts all day and helps you carry out daily activities and sleep.

Dosage & use

Clarityn should not be given to children under 6 years of age without a doctor's prescription. Clarityn is not recommended for children under 2 years of age.

Adults and children over 12 years of age:
Take one tablet once daily with a glass of water, with or without food.

Children 6 to 12 years are dosed by weight:
Body weight over 30 kg:
Take one tablet once a day with a glass of water, with or without food.

Patients with severe liver problems:
Adults and children with a body weight over 30 kg:
Take one tablet once every other day with a glass of water, with or without food.

If no improvement has occurred within 7 days, a doctor should be contacted. If you need to use Clarityn for longer than 3 months, you should contact a doctor to investigate whether the symptoms have another cause.

Fur allergy sufferers should take Clarityn one hour before visiting homes with fur animals.
Content

The active substance is loratadine. Each tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine.

Other ingredients are LACTOSE monohydrate, corn starch and magnesium stearate.
