Duraphat toothpaste is used to prevent caries (cavities) in the teeth of young people from the age of 16 and adults, especially in people who are at risk of getting many cavities in their teeth. This toothpaste contains fluoride as sodium salt, which belongs to a group of medicines called anti-caries. Duraphat contains a lot of fluoride. 

Food or liquid consumed immediately after brushing the teeth can prevent the rebuilding effect on the teeth. Therefore, brush your teeth with Duraphat after meals. Water and salt with fluoride added should be avoided when using this toothpaste. To prevent fluoride from being stored in the body, the total intake of fluoride should be evaluated before using this fluoride toothpaste. Consult a dentist or pharmacist regarding this.

Duraphat is not suitable for children and adolescents under 16 years of age.

Dosage & use

Duraphat can be used by people aged 16 and over.

Use Duraphat when brushing your teeth, 3 times a day
– squeeze 2 cm of toothpaste onto the toothbrush each time (2 cm gives between 3 mg to 5 mg of fluoride)
– brush your teeth after each meal
– brush from the palate and towards the chewing surfaces of the teeth
– spit out the foam , do not swallow
– do not rinse your mouth after brushing

Thorough tooth brushing takes about 3 minutes.
Content

The active substance is fluoride (as sodium fluoride). 1 g of toothpaste contains 5 mg fluorine, corresponding to 5000 ppm fluorine.

Other ingredients are liquid sorbitol (non-crystallising), silica for dental use, silica for dental use (precipitated), macrogol 600, tetrapotassium pyrophosphate, xanthan gum, sodium benzoate (E211), sodium lauryl sulfate, spearmint flavor (containing peppermint oil, carvone, spearmint oil, menthol , anethole and lemon oil), saccharin sodium, brilliant blue FCF (E133) and purified water.
