| Dosage & use | Dosage is 1 tablet once daily in the morning with breakfast for a maximum of 14 days. In case of more severe symptoms, the dose can be increased to 2 tablets daily. Kestine should not be given to children under 12 years of age. Patients with severely impaired liver function should not take more than 1 tablet per day. If you want to use Kestine for longer than 14 days, you should contact a doctor to rule out a more serious cause of the symptoms. The effect comes within 1 hour and lasts for 24 hours after the ingested dose. Fur allergy sufferers should take Kestine 1 hour before visiting homes with fur animals. In case of itching caused by mosquito bites, the best effect is obtained if Kestine is taken before the mosquito bite. People who are particularly sensitive to mosquito bites have the greatest effect. The effect on itching lasts less than 2 hours, and therefore does not affect the later phase of itching after mosquito bites. |
