Loratadine ratiopharm is used for allergic complaints such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose, itchy and burning eyes.

Loratadine ratiopharm is an antihistamine used to treat certain allergic diseases. This medicine works by blocking the effect of histamine which is involved in causing allergic reactions.

The allergic problems can be caused by, among other things pollen, fur animals, mites or dust. Pollen allergy is seasonal to the pollen periods. On the other hand, allergies to fur animals, mites or dust can occur all year round. This type of allergy can be treated temporarily if necessary.

Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Should not be given to children under 12 without a doctor’s prescription.

Dosage & use

Dosage for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age with a body weight over 30 kg: 1 tablet (10 mg) once daily. Contact a doctor if improvement is not seen within 7 days.

The length of treatment may vary depending on which symptoms you have. Feel free to try to end the treatment if you think the pollen season is over for you or if there are very low levels of pollen in the air. Use Loratadine ratiopharm for a maximum of 3 months in a row, unless the doctor prescribes otherwise.

If you have severe liver disease, you may need to use a lower dose. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you start using this medicine.

Loratadine ratiopharm should not be given to children under 12 years of age without the doctor's advice. Must not be given to children under 2 years of age or to children weighing under 30 kg.

Active ingredient: loratadine. One tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine.

Other ingredients: LACTOSE monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch and magnesium stearate.
