Melatonin Orion Pharma is an over-the-counter medicine used in the short-term treatment of jet lag in adults aged 18 and over. Jet lag refers to the symptoms, e.g. sleep problems, which are caused by the time difference when traveling across several time zones, in an eastern or western direction.

Melatonin Orion Pharma contains the active substance melatonin which belongs to a group of natural hormones produced by the body. Melatonin helps regulate the body’s day and night rhythm.

Melatonin Orion Pharma is recommended for adults flying across at least 5 time zones, especially in an eastern direction, and especially those who have experienced symptoms of jet lag in connection with previous trips. Maximum daily dose is 5 mg. Maximum treatment time is 4 days.

Should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Fertile women should use contraception during treatment.
