Additional information
Dosage & use | A usual dose is 1 drop in each eye 4 times daily or as needed. 1. Wash your hands. 2. Open the bottle. Do not touch the tip of the bottle after opening as this may contaminate the solution. 3. Bend your head back. 4. Pull the lower eyelid down with one finger and hold the dropper bottle in your other hand. The tip of the bottle must not touch the eye, as this can damage the eye. Press the bottle so that a drop falls into the eye. 5. Close the eye and press a fingertip against the inner corner of the eye for 1-2 minutes. This prevents the drop from flowing through the tear duct into the pharynx, and causes a larger part of the drop to remain in the eye. If necessary, repeat steps 3-5 for your other eye. 6. Close the bottle after each use. If you use other eye medicines together with Oculac, you should make a break of at least 5 minutes between the different medicines and apply Oculac last. Oculac contains benzalkonium chloride as a preservative. This substance may cause eye irritation. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying Oculac, as the eye drops may discolor soft contact lenses. Wait at least 30 minutes before reinserting the lenses. |
