Additional information
Dosage & use | Adults from 18 years of age: Recommended dose is two sprays (50 micrograms/spray) in each nostril once daily (total dose 200 micrograms). Full effect is only obtained after 48 hours. When symptoms are under control, the dose can be reduced to one spray in each nostril once daily (total dose 100 micrograms) as a maintenance dose. Before administering the first dose, shake the bottle thoroughly and pump 10 times (until the pump delivers an even spray). If the pump has not been used for 14 days or longer, it should be primed again with two pumps until an even spray is seen, before the next use. Among patients who previously had moderate to severe symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis, treatment with Orimox nasal spray may need to be initiated a few days before the expected start of the pollen season. Contact a doctor if you do not feel better, or if you feel worse, after 14 days. |
