| Dosage & use | Nasonex nasal spray contains mometasone furoate, which belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids (cortisone). When mometasone furoate is sprayed into the nose, it can help relieve inflammation (swelling and irritation in the nose), sneezing, itching, nasal congestion or runny nose. Nasonex is used to treat symptoms of allergic rhinitis: hay fever (also called seasonal allergic rhinitis) and perennial rhinitis (allergy to e.g. mites and fur animals). Nasonex (mometasone furoate) is an over-the-counter medicine from the age of 18. |
